Findings

REQ-101 — Residual Container Apps reference in Recommended Security Controls

Category: consistency

The Recommended Security Controls table still reads ‘Container Apps to Key Vault and Storage’ in the Managed Identity row (line 215). This is a leftover from the previous ACA-based architecture and should reference App Service.

Recommendation: Change ‘Container Apps to Key Vault and Storage’ to ‘App Service to Key Vault and Storage’.

REQ-102 — Cost Model Preference contradicts fixed-tier App Service S1

Category: consistency

The Budget section states Cost Model Pref as ‘Consumption (pay-per-use preferred)’ and Cost Optimization Priorities marks ‘Prefer consumption-based pricing’ as selected with High impact. App Service S1 is a fixed monthly plan (~$73/mo compute), not consumption-based. This sets a misleading expectation that the architecture follows pay-per-use economics when the primary compute cost is fixed.

Recommendation: Update Cost Model Pref to ‘Fixed tier (always-on compute)’ or ‘Hybrid — fixed compute, consumption storage’. Uncheck or add a clarifying note to the consumption-based pricing priority.

REQ-103 — Complexity classification ‘simple’ is borderline given VNet + PE networking

Category: accuracy

The Complexity Classification is ‘simple’ but the criteria field explicitly enumerates 7+ resource types (App Service, ACR, VNet, Private Endpoints, Storage, Key Vault, DNS Zones) with VNet integration and private endpoints. This networking layer adds operational complexity (DNS zones, PE configuration, subnet delegation) beyond a typical simple deployment. The rationale (‘single environment, no custom policies’) partially justifies simple, but the criteria text itself implies higher complexity.

Recommendation: Either reclassify to ‘moderate’, or simplify the criteria description to emphasize the dev-only, single-region nature rather than listing the resource count which suggests moderate.

REQ-104 — Scalability ‘Current’ column is theoretical for a greenfield project

Category: completeness

The Scalability table lists ‘Current’ values (100-1,000 users, ~86,400 transactions/day) but this is a greenfield project with no deployment. The ~86,400 figure (1 TPS × 86,400s) is a theoretical ceiling, not realistic order volume for a small Malta catering outlet expecting 50-200 orders/day.

Recommendation: Rename ‘Current’ to ‘Initial Target’ or ‘Launch Estimate’. Consider whether 86,400 transactions/day is a realistic planning figure.

The following elements were correctly updated after the architecture migration to App Service S1:

• Functional requirements are unchanged and appropriate
• Budget range EUR 100-500/mo correctly accommodates ~$126/mo estimated cost
• NFR targets (99.0% SLA, < 3s page load, < 500ms API p95) are achievable on App Service S1
